Busy Bee

Haven't been updating as frequently as I would've liked, been very busy, and if not busy, been pretty lazy.

Ride home from New York Monday was extremely easy, we got home nice and early. Rested the rest of the day. Had such a good weekend in New York, though. I love it!

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday were all the easiest days of school ever. Went in at 10:50, did nothing, went home. Done. This was also my last week of school. We got our yearbooks this week and I had everyone I want sign it.
Thursday I got my nails done for prom! Manicure and Pedicure for only $30, cha-ching?
Wednesday and Thursday night at work were both pretty busy, but I had no complaints because I need the money.

Friday was my LAST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL!! We did nothing in any of my classes but had a mini-party in my AP Euro class. I beeped very loudly and drove around the parking lot when I got out. :)
Also Friday I went to my cousins graduation at Worcester Prep. It was an extremely long ceremony, considering their graduating class only has 51 kids. It was worth it, though. Not only did I get to see my cousin graduate, but a few of his friends who have become my friends over the years.
After the graduation we went to dinner in OC at Ristorante Antipasti (Which is actually now Fausto's because the former closed down, has the same owner, though). It was an amazing Italian restaurant which has been on Food Network before. My Uncle knew the owner, and we had excellent service. The food was great, too! We had a very good time, and I was proud to see my cousin graduate. Made me excited for mine.

Saturday I woke up bright and early and went to see Callie. Also to see PJ, which is the newly born baby mini-donkey. She's ADORABLE! Sweet, and soooo small! Smaller than my dogs, for sure.

I got to play with her a bit, then I lounged Callie around and she did very well. After boredom ensued I let her loose and played tag with her and chased her over jumps, hahah! We all had fun.

Came home, and showered. Was time to GET READY FOR PROM! Went and got my hair done, which ended up looking awesome, I love my hair dresser. Her name is Melody, and she always does a good job. Had to come home quickly because I was pressed for time and change. Took some pictures with my boy, then all the group came and we all took pictures together.

We had dinner at Harrison's Harbor Watch, which is also a great restaurant in OC. My cousin Zac and friend Schmity took Kristen and I there for their homecoming. I got crab soup and a salad, both of which were good (but no crab soup can beat Annie's in Kent Island, OMG SOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!! I'm drooling thinking about it...). After dinner we came back to SU for grand march/the actual prom. My feet were killing me, seriously. I suck at wearing heels, and these heels were cutting off the circulation from my toes :(. I managed to get through the grand march on the stage, though. Once we got outside to walk to the room the prom was in (the commons) I took them off and barefooted it. The actual prom itself was very nicely put together. Music was lame at first, but got much better. SO many sweets to eat there, my teeth were rotting just looking at them all. We ended up leaving about a half hour early (11:30) and came home to change real quick. After that we went to a hotel we got in Ocean City!! It was very fun. I was exhausted, though, and was the first to past out, probably only an hour after we got there.

Next day we attempted to find free breakfast to only discover it was in fact, not free, and none of the people spoke English. Great. So we came upstairs and cleaned the room back up and headed out. Jared and I got out later than everyone else so we could finish cleaning, and ended up getting "ditched" by everyone else. Since we were a little bit behind them, they couldn't be bothered to get up with us and hang for the rest of the day like we had originally planned. I'm not surprised. I do, however, now know who my true friends are, after constant frustration with certain people for months. It sucks, but you gotta learn somehow I guess.
Jared and I went shopping a little, played some arcade games, and went to see Terminator Salvation, which was AWESOME! I loved it, and of course I cried at the ending, shocker there.

Had to pick Joey up in Roxanna from playing paintball with Nic on our way home, and then ended up back in Salisbury. Tried to relax, went in the hot tub, and passed out early due to the long exhausting weekend.

Today being Memorial Day I spent with both Jared's family and my family. I spent the majority of the afternoon at Jared's fathers house with the family. We had a very good time, I always love being around them! We had very good steaks for dinner that his dad made on the grill. Mostly we sat around and chatted(never a dull moment), and played a little with the baby, Dylan. He's such a cutie! (Adam and MommaT took pictures, if I can get them I will post)
Left there around 4 and went to my Aunt Margo's to hang out with my family. It was shorter than I would've liked, but I had a piece of my Aunt Margo's amazing Oreo Pie, and got to chitchat for a little bit.

Now I'm bored at home, hence updating my blog. Ha!

New York, New York :}

Came up to NY for the weekend- staying with my Aunt Beth, Uncle Dan, and cousin Tricia. We came up for my mom's godson's communion.

The trip here was LONG!! We picked the worst possible time to leave, and sat in rush hour traffic on the belt parkway. I blared loud, obscure music with the windows down and flailed around in the car in an attempt to entertain my mother/myself. Moreso myself. We had a lot of encounters with bad drivers, twice in one day people failed to notice us when trying to merge into our lane. Stupid.. drivers. I hate them!

This was one of my many forms of self entertainment. Balancing a bottle on my head. Except the top of the car is what was keeping it standing, FAIL!

We arrived last night pretty late, and had pizza and relaxed. Watched the Season Finale of Grey's Anatomy which was extremely upsetting. I bawled for a long time, and was walking around with my head down and periodically sighing dramatically. :(

I really do enjoy being here, it has such a homey feel to it.

Oh, the joys of horses

Today I had my first horse show (it was a combined test, dressage + jumping) of my season at Winaway.
To say the least, we did average. Her dressage was great, we got a 37 (eventing score), which is good for us considering we usually score in the low 40's. We did Beginner Novice Test A.
Her jumping was terrible, it was agitating. Not only was I under a ton of pressure, because I did not get the chance to warm up because I wanted to jump before my family had to leave, but Callie decided she was not feeling cooperative. It was half my fault, Callie is so touchy and I did a lot of little things wrong that I did not realize until after failing at the course.
I did get her to clear the whole thing though later, twice. Yay!
I ended up in second place overall, probably because my dressage was good. Hopefully if I keep it up, by the end of that show series I'll get Champion or Reserve Champion ^_^
My next show is May 31st at Olde Hope, which'll be WAY more awesome, EVENTINGGGG!!

Also note: Tuesday I'm bringing Erin out to the barn to ride with me. I can't wait to see her, it's been too long!

Now I am home, celebrating mothers day with my mom's side of the family. They had brunch with dad's side today but alas, I was at my horsey show.
I would type a paragraph here about how amazing my mom is but anyone who is reading this blog doesn't need to be reminded of such. We all know she's a beautiful, wonderful, talented, smart woman and mother. I couldn't ask for a better one. She's taught me SO much, and she's half the reason I have a good head on my shoulders.
I love my mommy.. she's my best friend!

Goodbye doggy.. O_o

This weekend, being the first weekend in May, started off my busy month with a BANG. Ha.. ha
No, but really, it was very fun. Friday was a normal type of Friday.. Jared came over, and we went to the barn. Callie was good, but inconsistent. Her goods were very good and her bads.. well.. were very bad! She actually managed to bite me. She didn't tear skin- but whenever I tighten the girth on her saddle she gets fussy. She usually bites anything and everything BUT me and swishes her tail a little, but today she decided I was the target of her teeth. I was fine, it just took me off guard because it's been a while since she tried to take her anger out on me!
After the barn, Jared, Joey and I raided (which for those of you who don't know, it's where 25 people get together on World of Warcraft and kill certain types of bad guys! Haha). We were doing new content, so it was fun, but I was extremely exhausted. They apparently have strict attendance policy that I was not aware of, but I ended up leaving earlier than I should of anyway. Ended up going to bed right after that.

Yesterday, Saturday, Jared, my friends Matt, Meghan, Laurie, Justin, Jessica, and Will went up to Ram's Head in Baltimore to see Before Their Eyes, A Static Lullaby (Norma Jean's replacement.. much to our dismay), Blessthefall, and Silverstein. All in all, it was a very good show. In my opinion, Blessthefall stole it. They were not only my favorite band there, but I think they put on the best show. I feel like the crowd reacted the most to them. Before they came on everyone started chanting their name like crazy.
This picture is of Blessthefall, and was taken when the lead singer jumped into the crowd, and everyone actually managed to hold him in a sitting-type position.
The ride home stunk, bad. Matt's parents used to live in Baltimore so he knows his way around fairly well, and claimed he could get us out of downtown. However, the road we were supposed to be on was shut down due to construction, and every road in downtown Baltimore is one way. So we ended up having to go all the way around the city to get out, and with no help from the GPS (hardly). It was losing signal literally every 1-2 minutes. It took us an hour and a half just to get out of there. Then, some people wanted to stop at a specific McDonalds, and said they'd show us how to get there. But when we got close to it, they were all asleep. So assuming they still wanted McDonalds, Jared tried to go to the next closest one which was on the other side of the highway from Kent Island. We managed to get over there after much hunting, and woke everyone up. After leaving there at 1:30 AM, we missed our exit to get on the other side of 50 and ended up having to go over the Bay Bridge again. So a supposed two hour car ride turned into a 4 hour one. It was miserable! We got home around 3:45, and Megan and Matt stayed the night with me.

Today, I didn't wake up until noon. I took Meghan home, and then was supposed to take Jared's dad to the barn with Jared and I to let him hop on Callie. But as soon as we were about to leave, it started pouring, and we decided to do it another day. We're supposed to be hanging out with him this upcoming Friday, though. We ended up spending the afternoon playing Pokemon (can never go wrong with Pokemon) and then went to our friend Matt's Eagle Scout ceremony. He was very happy we came, and I'm glad we got to go. It's a bigger deal than it sounds!

So now Jared and I are here, contemplating wether or not to go see the new Xmen movie..
