@_@

School is becoming more and more of a drag everyday. I'm graduating literally a month from today, and I'm practically counting down the seconds.
It's a good thing I have a lot of excitement planned this month, because I think I might just die if I wasn't preoccupied.
This weekend a bunch of friends and I are going to Rams Head to see a couple good bands, which'll be very fun. Then next weekend I am going to Bush Gardens with Rachel on Saturday, and I have my first horse show of the season on Sunday!
Then I get to go up to New York and see my amazing cousin and Aunt. I can't wait, I love them so. I wish they lived closer :(
Then comes prom.. then I finally graduate... YES!!!

It's official.

Today I registered for my classes for my fall semester at wor-wic after taking the diagnostic test. I'm very happy to have that out of the way, and I'll be taking pretty general classes. It shouldn't be too hard, but I know it won't be easy, either.

I also just got done buying an adorable bikini from Target I just had to have.. it's not being released until mid-May and I'm expected to get it by the end of May to mid-June.. but I can't wait.

I love it! It screams my name..(that body, however, does not. I WISH!)

In other news- I had a very busy weekend, and it was very enjoyable.
Friday I went up to Jared's to meet his moms new puppy, Miley. Jared talks a little about here on his blog here, and I don't feel like explaining her myself. She's very cute and love-able, and of course loved me (What's not to love?!?!? ha.. ha.. ha). She enjoyed my little dog and baby talking voice I spoke to her in, and I was the only one who let her give me kisses, so she has a soft spot for me!
Throughout that afternoon we mostly played with her dog and took her for a walk. Later on when Jared's mom got home she took us out to dinner at the Green Turtle, which I always love. We had a good time, and got to watch sports (Yanks v. Soxs, Rangers v. Caps, both with a not-so-good outcome..), which both her and I love. Jared tolerates them, but is only starting to get into them :P After dinner I proceeded to head home, where I passed out on my bed.
Saturday Joey was supposed to have a double-header but only ended up having one game, against Parkside. First loss of their season, against their biggest rival.. and Joey didn't even get to play. Disappointments all around. After the game we headed up to Bethany to celebrate my cousins 18th and my grandmothers 70th. We all had a very good time, playing video games and being stupid. Nothing out of the usual.
Sunday Jared and I went to see Adam, Megan and Dylan. Dylan is getting so big, and he's adorable. He could not keep his eyes off me, which sounds cocky, but it's true. He was constantly staring at me and giggling. It was amusing. It was also amusing to watch Jared interact with the baby, because he has no baby experience. He was very awkward holding him, but it was so cute. My baby experience is minimal but I have more than he does, and due to psychology (weird, huh?) I know a fair bit about them! He will get there, just needs to visit with his nephew some more :P Adam and Megan always are wonderful, and treat me like I'm family. I always enjoy seeing them.

Didn't get home 'til 10 last night, so I've hardly been home all weekend! Time to kick back.. relax.. play some Halo 3 and watch Grey's Anatomy. Score!

Job = less annoying?

So the owners of the restaurant I work at (Goin' Nuts Cafe) went on vacation for a few days to New Orleans. While they were gone, I worked with a different manager this weekend. His name is Grady, and he only comes in when someone else goes on vacation, or he is needed. He's currently teaching at an alternative school, History!
Saturday night I was at work until 1 AM due to a large party we had, and Grady and I started talking about my future, and my college plans. Of course, he totally loved how I'm majoring in Secondary History Education, because that too was his major.
We also discussed how I really should stick with working where I do throughout college, because unlike most other restaurants, our management realizes the importance of a college education, and they're bound to be more flexible with my hours (which they always have been and I'm SO grateful for!). So I think I'll be sticking around there for a while. Really with all the random time I need off, I couldn't ask for better cooperation then they give me.

In other news: I have a very booked weekend coming up, and I'm pretty excited for it.
Friday I'm taking my diagnostic test at Wor-Wic so I can get registered, and set up my schedule for next year, which is VERY EXCITING! It makes it feel that much closer!
Saturday, Joey has a double header in the afternoon, because they keep getting rained out. He's probably had four games rained out this year already, it really stinks. But after his games, we're heading up to Bethany to celebrate Zac's 18th birthday and my Grandma's 70th! Two big birthdays indeed.
We'll be spending the night in Bethany that evening and the next morning Jared and I are heading out straight from their house to Pennsylvania to see his brother Adam, Adam's wife Megan and their 5 month old son, Dylan. We haven't seen them since December, meaning Dylan was only 10 weeks old. I'm sure he's doubled in size..

Now I'm off to slay mythical dragons in the WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!! Haha

Music As A Weapon

For my cousin Zac's eighteenth birthday, A couple of his friends, him and I went to Baltimore to see Music as a Weapon tour, which included 4 bands. Chimaria, Lacuna Coil, Killswitch Engage, and Disturbed.
It was an amazing show, and we all had a great time. We rode up in a Limo so none of us had to drive (good thing, because we all crashed on the way home). I got a lil beaten up, but that's nothing unusual at a rock show. I went into my first intentional mosh pit (I've been pushed into several), which was very fun! But nothing I should be doing frequently, I'm too tiny. :(
This was all of the guys first concert experience (the girl is the only one who's done this before, haha) and they LOVED it! It was so fun, they're such a chill group of guys, and didn't treat me like I was any different then the rest of them.

In other news: I didn't update much over break.
I had strep throat, and my horse show saturday got rained out. :( But I did have my lesson on Friday which was great, Callie did a very good job!
Jared came to our Easter Sunday with the family. He was treated as such, and we all had a very good time. Me, especially, because this year I wasn't the last to finish the egg hunt 0:)

Yepyepyep.. that's all folks! Ha

This will come as a shocker to everyone, I'm sure...

I'm sick again! Ohhh boyyy!!! Not.
This time, I have strep throat. Thank goodness I got put on antibiotics, they'll help cure me sooner. I read online that without them, strep can last weeks. Eek.
My doctor also gave me some stuff to gargle because it would numb my throat. I was supposed to take a teaspoon of it. That, however, did not work out so well. When she told me it was like mouthwash, I thought of something minty. But when we got it, it was like pink cherry cough syrup. Totally gross. I couldn't gargle it, it would touch my tongue on the way down and I'd gag. It made my entire mouth numb, but not my throat. (Insert hysterical katie here)

Tomorrow, though, I am going riding, and I have a little schooling show Saturday! Wish me luck!

Oh spring, How I love thee.

This week I only have two days of school, and then six off for Easter/Spring break :}
I'm going to be spending my break working, SLEEPING, riding, and hanging with my awesome family.

Speaking of my awesome family: For my cousin Zac's 18th birthday, him, a couple of his guy friends, and I are going to see some awesome metal bands(Chimaria, Lacuna Coil, Killswitch Engage, and Disturbed) in Baltimore! I totally can't wait. I've been dying to go to a show with Zac forever! I got to sleep at his house this weekend with my brother, which is always a good time.

Now I'm off to bed. Tomorrow if the rain holds up, I'll be seeing Joey play baseball for Bennett for the first time this year!

Today

I pushed my poor horses limits (NOTE: the last time I've done this with her was probably 5 months ago) and wanted to see how high I could get her to jump today. Her record is 4ft :)
Don't think it'll go any higher, we tried 4'3" and she ducked out several times. She's so good, though.
She's so tiny to be jumping this high as is!
